Post New owner of a H3

I recently bought a H3. My question is about routine maintaince. I am going to change the oil and a new air filter. I am going to check out the spark plugs and wires. Is there any other things that I should check.

Thanks,

Welcome from MI.

Please tell us what year and miles are on your new to you H3. This will give us a better understanding of what may need to be addressed. For a newer low mile H3 oil, filter and air filter should be just fine. If your H3 is older and has more miles then you may want to check a raft of different items. All depends on the year and miles (and previous maintenance performed).

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have a 2006 H3 with 100133 miles. I bought it from a used car dealer and when i got it was really clean. Any help I would appreciate.

Welcome to the forum! An 06 w/ that many miles will need to be gone over quite thourghly... Not knowing what matinence has already been done to it or not. Your goin to want to check all the fluid levels, prob change a good amount out too.

Diffs: front and rear
T-case
Coolent
Check ALL front end components for wear or loose
Brakes!

All of this can be performed by you with a little time and less $ can going to a shop.

Congratulations on the H3. If you call your closest former Hummer dealer with the VIN they might be able to tell you when the last service was done. If not I would probably assume it needs a major service and check/change all fluids and filters.

Congrats and welcome! shouldn't the dealer have gone over the vehicle prior to sale or was it one of the local small-time dealers? i think those guys just get the car and put it on the lot as-is....
hope it all works out!
