Just joined. Look forward to contributing. At this moment I have no Hummer, I had an H2, but didnt really like it, honestly. I am committed to buying H1 Wagon......very busy looking. Had a couple fall through my fingers. Main idea is as a fun truck, kids, etc, and to use to go back and forth to my ranch (an hour away) hauling 4 wheelers, etc on trailer. It would be a third car as have car and truck for daily use.
Looking at '96-02.....price range $35K to $50K and lowish miles.
Jump seat, roof rack, winch, +/- TV/DVDs would be nice.
Looking all over country but would like to avoid lots of rust....would like to get started with a decent one. I have no fear of maintenance, etc, just want to get off on right foot.
Any advice and help finding would be great?

Mark, I'm sure 3Hummers (Dave) will be along... He is the H1 Guru... He'll prob tell you to look at the 97/98 model years, regarded as the best. It was pre GM getting their hands on them and throwing too much safety crap at them, so the price and low miles should be just about right for you... I wish you good luck! Theyre out there you just gotta keep looking...
