Nice ride(s)! Since you didn't allow dealer prep, may I ask what your normal car wash / prep routine is?

jdrew, won't be able to make it as I'll be out of town, I believe.

Muddydawg75, gorgeous C5 - no Maggie but mine is head/cam/header/4.10's, exhaust, intake, tuned, cutouts. Her's is just headers, high-stall converter and 3.42's.

SpeedNut, the dealership techs usually wash with dirty rags and water and simply grind the dirt in as they wash. The H3 was covered in a heavy coat of rod grit when I took delivery Monday. Ido gobs of rinsingbefore Iever touch italong with a clean, new microfiber wash mitt and lots of soap to float the dirt off rather than push it into the paint. The finish stays swirl-free and looks like it was just painted rather than being buffed with a sanding disc. Dis the same on my red vette and it has far fewer swils than the wife's vette which we bought used. The PO had not been as careful so the swirls need to be polished out.

Here is the results of yesterday's cleaning.
