Thanks for the info....helps me decide on which tires to get. Do you have any suspension mods to keep from rubbing since you're running 35's? I know your low offset helps too since it's moved your tires outward/away from the truck...but other than that is your H3 stock height? Did you crank the torsion bars a bit?

I'm about to take the plunge and buy 325/50-22's (Terra Grapplers) which should give me a tire height of about 34.84" I hope they fit!

they will fit again, depending on offset/backspace. Mine fit with no adj in the t-bar needed but I did crank them to level the front anyway as I hate the stock gm pitch.

am I correct in my thinking that offset and backspacing are always directly relational given the same wheel width?

Again, if comparing two wheels with the same width....
Backspace = distance from the "back" of the rim to the mounting surface
Offest = Distance (+/-) of the mounting surface from the center of the wheel.

Thus, is it correct to say that two different wheels, both being 9-1/2" wide with +20mm offset....they will always have the exact same backspace measurement? And likewise, two wheels, same width with the same backspace would always have the same offset?

Is this correct? If not, what am I missing here?

Sorry for digging into this so deep, but 3 minutes of typing and checking is a small price to pay when considering the fact I might receive 3 grand worth of wheels that won't work!

yes offset and backspacing work together and two wheels with the same width and the same offset should have the same backspacing. The only thing that could very rarely through this off is if the lug plate of the rim is thicker on one model then the other, this would make the backspace a little different. In todays market though this is very rare.

most rims for a 4x4 full size chevy will work. But if you are going with a 16" you have to be careful of the inside diameter, some 16" rims will not clear the caliper, h3 uses large calipers. I know my stock Tahoe rims rubbed the calipers when I tried to put one on. Also the most popular offset for full size chevy's are around a +12, h3 uses a +38 so a rim meant for a 4x4 chevy will almost always stick out of the fender a good amount, like mine do.
