So happy to finally call myself a member! I am a bit over my head here as I just purchased a 1995 hummer H1 which has see better days to say the least. It is banged up and not touched for a while, there is an engine and transmission in the engine bay but nothing is connected it looks like someone was working on a diesel swap and stopped mid way through like10 years ago. It currently looks like there is a 6.5 turbo diesel GM engine in the bay and the guy I got it from said he was told that the turbo placement on it is what’s giving an issue as it came out of a truck and not a van. Before spending money on a new engine I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions if there is another way to rig the turbo? Sorry I am not super car savvy so I attached some pictures I think may be relevant?
I was told that the engine was completely rebuilt years ago just had a hard time for fitment. Even though it’s super rough happy to day I got my dream car with the hopes of putting on the road sometime!!!!
