I have been hanging around here reading yalls rants and raves for several months. I bought my H3 about 3 weeks ago and like many of you love it when I can get it away from my wife. I have had it on the road for two different trips and it is as comfortable as any vehicle I have ever ridden in. looking forward to continuing to learn from your experience. Any one heard of an "off-road" course offered by Hummer?

If you're new to wheeling, then from what I've seen of "only events" (those that invite brand specific vehicles) then that is often a great place to learn. More often than not, there are usually many other "first timers" there, and the group is usually very commited to helping them learn the ropes. If there is a hummer event taking place near you, then I'd encourage you to go try it out, even if you choose not to attend another one, it may at least help you get a feel for the H3, with guidance from other H3 owners who have experience with the same vehicle. More often than not, most only events are held by experienced guides, who lead mostly new owners out on a trail. Most "wheelers" preffer to stay away from only events, unless they are actual trail leaders. That's only because the trails are often begginer friendly, and don't offer enough challenges to experienced off roaders.
Oneminddoc,
I know our local Hummer dealership offers "Hummer events." The last one here (only once since we've had the H3) we were out of town and not able to attend. Though we did get to see a slideshow of it at the 4th of July thing they threw. I'd say check with you local dealership. They would know better if there's something like that local to you. Or they could possibly recommend local off roading places.
