Default New to me ‘94

I just yesterday received my H1 ’94 Truck back with the slant back accessory.
I am already forward thinking about swaping the OEM 6.5 for a Duramax 6.6 (turbo). may question/s: Which variation would be the BEST choice, also am wanting to add a 2nd fuel cell on the “portside (drivers) to boost current capacity from 25 gals. to 50gals total.
I welcome all experenced input to both endeavors.
Thanks for your ideas

My 94 had the stock later model tank added for a capacity of 42.5 gallons. Lot of Duramax conversion horror stories. To do it right you need to do a 2" lift, new hub gears, brakes, half shafts, frame rails, etc. it is a lot more involved than many think. Make sure you go to a reputable shop if you have it done.

Hummer Parts Guy | Genuine Hummer H1 Parts and Accessories. Dave can help you out. The 6.5 is not a motor that yields big performance gains. My 6.5 TD gives me 10-12 mph more top end and a little faster acceleration over the 6.5 NA motor. How much is that worth to you? My 6.2 NA like to cruise at about 55-57 mph. The 6.5 NA will cruise at 65 mph and the 6.5 TD likes 65-70 but will cruise along at 75 on flat highway.

Mine was already done so not sure. Seems like you need some additional height clearance.
