The new revision of the marker lights showed up at my door today..

Have you compaired the old with the new and what differences are there?

 

The light kits are exactly like the originals except for a couple of wedges of rubber on the underside of the panel assembly in 2 areasI believe. The new part number is a reworked original kit as seen in the pics. We have installed one kit and it has not been back and the customer is happy. You are not suppose to replace the lamp kit for warranty. There should be a repair kit out soon buthave not got a bullentin yet with part numbers. I called on this problem on the first day of december (the fix was suppose to be out the end of november) and was given the part number for the kit. Steve

 

Just a update on the roof marker repair kit for the viration rattle noise. Part number for repair kit is 19166037 and it could be a couple of weeks till we get them. Steve

 

I installed the new lights.. no noise up to 80mph..

thats what had me worried about getting these... But so far, so good.. who knows, maybe I will get the noise later on.... if so.. so be it.. I'm just happy and lucky to have my Hummer.. (my first new car in my life too!)

 

Just thought I would give a final update on this. The PI came out with part numbers for the repair and the new kits. But I thought i would show a pic of the difference. There are 2 plastic wedges below the 2 middle retaining bolts. The pic shows it. Steve

 

The new marker lights are in as stated by my dealer Gerry Lane. I talked to the parts manager and he said that they 535.00 for the lights and 187.50 for labor. These are supposed to have the fix fromHummer.

 

Got the fix today, works great!
