Default From New Jersey with a few questions

Hi,

I purchased a 2008 H3 Alpha, but I'm waiting for delivery. Credit Union of Texas had this vehicle at a good price. Carfax looked good and the pictures too. I read some good reviews about this credit union's "auto mall" and time will tell if i really got a good deal.

Anyway, I've been reading for a few days and this is a great forum. I used to own a 2007 Mustang GT, but the vehicle was totaled so I went with something different. I don't plan to tons of money, but I have about $1,500 since the purchase was under my spending limit.

What would you recommend would be the first things to get considering my limit?

I was looking at the rocket and underbody protection, roof rack, bigger tires, front grille, etc...

please guide me

Thank you for reading my post

Note: I drive 10 miles to work and it is mostly highway.

What direction are the mods intended for? Do you want to wheel your rig, make it look like you wheel it, or just bling it out?

looks nice an clean... lux package, non adventure. cool cool...

So a nice set of 35s should be in order... that will pretty much dry up your funds to start, that and a airdoc intake

I was thinking tires first. I saw some Kumho 315/75/16 that were pretty cheap. I found some reviews of people using this brand of tires on hummers, but i'm not 100% sure.

yeah cheap is not usually a good thing, some exceptions but not many... stick with the names you know...

Mickey Thompson, Goodyear, BFG all make really good tires, the debate will never end though... it really depends on what your expecting and how much off roading your gonna do... the M/T MTZ have great tread life so alot of guys like them...

I'm about to order the Duratrac, but I have a question for people who have these tires. Is this a good tire for a 8 hr drive? I'm planning to drive the family to a family event in a month. NJ to OH and I want to know if the goodyear or any 315 tire would be ok for the trip.

thank you
