Default New Hummer owner/ Real MPG please

Hello all,

I will be picking up my 05' SUT late this coming week and I'm curious as to what I expect for gas mileage. They lady I'm purchasing the truck from says she would get 11.5 to 12....can someone give me an honest answer please. I don't really care either way but I'd like to know. Thanks.

ps - drive the speed limit and plan your day out in advance helps the MPG as well.

When I purchaced mine I was getting 11.8 to 12.0, but about a month ago I changed all the fluids from the front and rear differentials to the t-case and transmission with Royal purple and now my average for the last month has been 13.3 wihich is a great gain for the hummer h2.

Wow, that's impressive. I'm going to change mine soon so maybe I try Royal Purple too. Thanks!

I would say she shot straight with. Individual driving habits can effect the mpg of course but that sounds reasonable.

Thanks for the info....I think I'll look into the fluid change right away. I'm pretty excited as I've driven a couple before and have always wanted one!
