I just picked up my new 07 H3 with the Luxury and Adventure package, The new 3.7 liter engine, Navigation,two tone leather and roof rack, tires are the bigger 33" ones. Total came out too $42,000, down from the $48,000 sticker. My drive off total out of pocket last night was $2800, this included registration fees, taxes and first payment, i guess everything needed to drive it off last night. I got a GMAC lease for 48 months and my payments are $585 a month.

Ddid i get taken?

It doesn't seam like to me. I have read some of the posts on here where people are paying $250 a month but i guess thats on the base model with nothing on it. I got every option on mine short of getting the H3X, which i did not care much for.

I'm not sure about the payment...but $48,000??? What did the original window sticker say (the GM one)? I don't believe its possible to have one cost that much from the factory...and the 42 price sounds like full pop to me. Even if the accessories were added after the fact it shouldn't be THAT high...were any of the products aftermarket? what else was on there?

 

Is that $48K Canadian?

ok guys, here is my invoice on my H3

Base price is $29,995

Luxury Package is $3,230

Adventure Package is $2,000

Automatic Trans $1,700

Trailer Hitch $390

Sunroof $950

So total adds up too about $43,105 Window Sticker Price. We ended up getting it for $42,000 including taxes and fees. Fron the $42,000 we put $2800 down, dealer game us an additiona $1200 so total came out too $4,000 at sign off. So we really leased a $38,000 H3 at $585 a month for 48 months.

 

Well, on a lease, you only pay sales tax on the amount of your money down plus monthly payments, so I'm not sure where the $48 comes in. Some of those numbers seem pretty high, too... The fuel door, for example,is a $150 item, max. And there's no way installation should be an extra $100. I think people have gotten better deals than that (I guess I did), but I don't know what your market is like in So.Cal.

 

Congratulations 1st off.....Soundsrather high to me..considering here they are offering the H3 lease (base of course) plus a free sunroof for $299/mo. Nearly $600/mo for payments??? OUCH! And, granted it is much easier just to say put all that stuff on so I don't have to deal with it but the markup on accessories at the dealer is always rediculous and then they get you with the labor to install. Our sponsors here and Ebay have great deals on assessories for a fraction of the prices the dealer wants. (Prime example - something as simple and inexpensive as the front bumperstainless HUMMER letters - my parts guy quoted me $90.00!!!! (was he for real or what?) I got them off Ebay for $22.00 and free shipping! Roof rails - my dealer wanted $475.00 plus install which is very simple...I got them from Gstyles (one of our sponsors) for $250.00 and I believe they have them for a bit less than that now.

 

If it came on it from the factory - its the factory markup, not the dealer markup. Also, because its on the invoice, it will residualize - so on a lease you're only paying for a portion of the accessories (say 55% on a 48 month or something)...doesn't sound like a total ripoff to me - mainly because of all the goodies you got.

 

Thanks for clarifying Humm Guy...Nah, I didn't mean to imply he wastotally ripped off LOL...I guess we all look at things differently with importance placed commensurate to our own situations...for me the monthly payment is what is most important to me...again nearly $600....OUCH!
