New H1's
They stopped production because the costs to certify and produce a new H1 that would meet new standards vs. the number of units being sold made the product not viable.
I wouldn't hold my breath for a new one anytime soon.
If/when the new H1 does arrive someday, I suspect it will have nothing to do with the old one - maybe a 1-ton truck platform with off-road capabilities, built on a mass production line if market studies demonstrate any demand for that.

I have heard from a number of Hummer salespeople that a new "stripped down" off road version might be in the works. When I have talked to the people at AMG they merely say that they have heard the same rumors but offer no information. I don't think it will happen but I would be the first in line to buy another if they did.
I think the hummer h1 legend will always live on and never be forgotten especially with so many fanatic and the way they were built. I doubt highly that they will bring it back. they discontinued it because of the lack of sales and the increasing cost of producing it. the pricewent up so high- it was last at aroug 140,000 i think and the estimated it would go up to 160,000 and there were simply not enough people willing to pay that mach for a 4X4 no matter how nice. they might have redisigned it to be newer and less expensive if the sales weren't that bad. but in the future cars like the ummer will be "classic cars" and people will be pulling them out of the junkyard and restoring them. maybe after a while theyll remake it lke the new mustang, charger, or camaro (modelled after classics)

I'm pretty sure this is an accurate source:
HUMMER H1 Model Year Production Numbers. Model YearCivilian H1 Hummers Produced.1992316199361219947181995143219961374199712091998945199983120001333200186920027042003494 (Including 116 built for Border Patrol)200425220050 2006729 (including 9 Border Patrol)Total11,818
Besides 05 when they made 0, 04s are the most rare hummers. If im not mistaken, they also go the alpha interiors of the 06 cars and a much better turbo motor than the 03 and older H1s. Please correct me if im spreading inaccurate info!
