Default New guy with question got answer from Hummer

New to the forum just got 08 H3 and already added a few things. Just wanted to say hello to all. And ask a question the drivers door is crooked low on one end, dealer says the door is not adjustable is that correct? I do not think so.

Called Hummer customer service about door. They said I should learn to live with it!![]

Welcome. Sounds like a load of crap to me (but I don't know)! I would think that unless it was done by an accident or something that it should be under warrenty.

I am pretty sure any door on any automobile should be adjustable. I can tell you this I have adjusted the doors on a chevy truck before.

Is there another dealer you can take it to? There should be something they can do, have them order a new door and install it, if they can't adjust the one that's on your H3.

How do you mean "it's crooked"? Is it off by a fraction of an inch or is it visibly off? Can you notice it immediately just by looking at it? Are the seams around the door uneven? Is that what you mean? If so and they can't fix it I would demand they replace it. Can you post a picture for us to see? Good luck.

i think its very noticeable and shouldnt be that way....it looks like someone was putting their weight on the door while it was open and bent the hinges slightly....i would be raising a fit to get a new door and get the hinges replaced and remounted in alignment.

just grab the bottom of the door....and LIFT!! That's all a dealer will do anyway. There is no true adjustment on a door hinge.
