I have my first H2 on its way to me on a truck. Should be here in a couple days. I was going to install some after market seat rest dvd screens already built in. I really need a measurement of the actual size of the seat rest in a H2. Now I am not talking about the seatpost width. This is not a concern to me as the DVD Headrest posts I am getting are adjustable... I am actually needing the exact size of the seat rest itself to make sure the ones I order will fit. If anyone has some time on their hands and don't mind letting me know the size I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for helping me out on the first of many questions I will have in the future. Glad this forum is here...

From My 07 H2 Measuring on the back side where a screen would go. The headrest is tapered at the top narrower. 9 inches at top 10 /.25 inches at bottom. Height from bottom to top is almost 9 inches. Mine has the factory Hummer 7 inch screens. No complaints from the kids. You could maybe go a little bigger if you wanted. Maybe a 8 inch. The screen on mine sits up higher where it starts to taper and get smaller. You could maybe mount it lower on the headrest.

Thanx Jeeps. This helped tremendously. Question though. The DVD headrests I am getting at the base of the headrest is 11" across at the bottom. Do you think it will still fit? I am concerned about the end arm that comes up from the seat if you know what I mean...

 

Yeah you should be fine. Just measure again. Looks like you could almost fit 12 inches across being a little tight against the seat top piece(seat belt holder) and 11 3/4 inches no problem. I would say you will be good to go.
