New to the forum and Hummers
Hey everyone. Just bought my first Hummer last weekend, an ’07 H3. It’s the 3.5 automatic so nothing too fancy just needed something for the Canada winters so I could park the Mustang and thought why not get something fun and capable. The dealer is going to replace the windshield and brake pads so I pick it up this coming weekend.
I was pretty excited because I got a pretty good deal but have been a little bummed how the Hummer haters still exist in large numbers. Mentioned it to a few people and got that blank look when you say you bought a Hummer. Posted to my friends on Facebook and got a load of negative comments. I’m sure when the flakes are flying I’m going to care less what they think. With the Mustang all snug in the garage instead of white knuckle winter driving I’m going to be happy regardless.
So hope this is the best forums to help me best enjoy my new wheels.

My GF has a heck of a time getting in since it's slightly lifted so I was thinking of running boards. Something hefty so I don't have to worry too much about busting them if I go off-road with my brother and his Ram.
Chad, if you are going to wheel it in Canada (lots of rocks) I would suggest Rock Rails instead of steps. They will protect the lower rocker panels from being smashed and pinched.
My wife is vertically challenged also and uses the Rock Rails on her "T" and my H3 as steps.

Thanks Tainter, I've always been a speed nut, the off-road stuff has always been my brother's thing so I've got a lot to learn. Rock Rails sound exactly what I'm looking for. I hope to run around with the Canadians here but when I go back home to Iowa my brother likes to run in river bottoms so that's lots of logs.
