New to the forum; new Hummer owner
Hi guys. I just bought my first Hummer a few weeks ago. I am not new to off roading and have recently sold my Jeep TJ Rubicon. My past two off-road vehicles have been Jeep Wranglers ('02 & '05).
The family is getting larger and I needed a 4 wheeler that could tow. I found a very clean '06 yellow H2 with the luxery package. I have always bought new and looked hard at a '09 H2 and even with the tremendous discounts, could not justify the price difference. I also wanted yellow and as you know, this color was discountinued in '07.
Anyway, I am having a blast learning about my new H2. We just finished our summer vacation to the Outer Banks, NC and did the off-road beach. While not challenging, was able to tow out a stuck tourist.
My only disappointment so far is that the average Hummer owner does not appear to be as friendly and outgoing as my past Jeep crowds. The Hummer wave I give is rarely returned.
I will post some pictures soon and am in process of signing up for the HOPE program. Anyway that's all for now.

After getting used to my Hummer, when I drive my old Montero I feel like I am in a goldfish bowl because of the amount of light that comes into the passenger compartment. Proportionately, Monteros and Jeeps have a lot more window square footage than an H2 does.
Of course, it could also be that waving is so gay.
I am fairly new to Richmond and the only place I have found is George Washington National Forest where there are some off road trails that branch off of the forest service roads. They are 75 miles or so from Richmond.
Still enjoying the new Hummer!!!
