Whether he's a troll or not, its all about Diversity! If he likes chrome goodies on his H3, then all power to him. There are several H3X's in my area that have the chrome pkg, hard spare cover and the tiny, out of place on an H3 265 tires. the owners love the looks, all power to them. some completely black out their rigs so they almost look like a Hearse on the way to a funeral, some folks think the rockstars are the best looking wheels on a 3, HA! Some look at mine and think it looks cheap with the black steel wheels. well its the look i was going for To each his own, whats up with the personal attacks?

So are you going to post pics or not? :P I like looking at what others have done to their trucks. In the end it doesn't really matter what other people think, because it's your truck.

Trust me I drove PLENTY of hmwwv's in the Army. But my wife and I have been considering an h1 in the next few years.

I didnt view it any different than any other truck or SUV I looked at. If I would've bought a TrailBlazer would I be a poser if Im not blazing the trails?

He was excited about his new Hummer and wanted to share it. Theres no reason for you to be a self righteous ***** about it because he didnt turn it into the ultimate offroad machine. Quit trying to be king shit of turd mountain....you sound like an idiot.
Good thinking. I take my HUMMER fishing too. Bass are fun. But crappie, trout, and salmon are better. Well unless we're talking top-water. I smoke bass on top-water fishing. Say, where do you live win WI? Maybe we can go fishing together sometime.

Welcome to the mall crawler. It isn't my thing, but I've been around custom cars long enough to know that a person builds what makes them happy and no one else. I hope everyone in the thread is happy with their rides. Can't we all just get along?

I aslo have driven many h1's in the Marine corps so why didnt you just stick with it if you want to go off roading. We all know the H3 couldnt hold a jock strap to the H1 when it comes to off roading.

If he likes the looks of a chromed out hummer and doesnt want to take it off the pavement so be it. Im sure he enjoys his truck just as much as you enjoy yours.

Well honestly, the reason I got the 3 over the 1 was simply because I've driven an h1 too damn much in the Army. I hated them. They were deathtraps, too heavy, sucked diesel, only the 1151's and 1114's had ac, were noisy, etc. But in retrospect, they were damn good trucks. They would go anywhere, are tough as nails, and do what they do well. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had room for one.

The h3 isn't that much worse than an h1 though. The h1 can ford like 6" more water or something like that (which the h3 can actually ford too; the h3 is advertised as being able to ford like 30" of water stock, but they are actually capable of fording 36" stock), the h1 has far better approach/departure angles, better diffs/tires, etc.. but it's not eons better than an h3. Besides, my h3 has leather and gets 20mpg highway :P

Great... I also missed that memo. Is there a bulletin advising how to de-black my truck??

This thread is getting pretty entertaining.
