I'll speak for myself but I'm sure others agree, I'd be impressed if you did a SAS or diesel conversation yourself.
You're SUT is badass, no doubt. But claiming the greatest build is kinda disrespectful to people that have put alot of work into their rig, not just money.

Meet me any trail and if you keep up I'll eat my words.[IMG][/IMG]
Hurt feels? Come on..lol If I wanted a trashed out Hummer like yours obviously is, (to each his own) I could easily build one..but why when I have 2 vehicles already that will go places your rig would only dream of..But would I "F" them up on a trail doing it? No (maybe the UTV..which is why I bought it) The H2 is my daily drive, not my daily beater like yours is. My God you can not see that? .Oh don't hate on me because I may have a little money..."don't hate the player, hate the game" ...because all the negative comment/s seem to be angled on the money I spent..etc, and if you do not comment on the money I spent..its that its I did not build it myself...And since when is it, you have to turn your own dams wrench to earn anything on this site...give me a break. That's why I make the money..so I do not have to do this **** myself..as far as diesel conversion/s ...I have already been there and done it...NEXT...I would never do it again. PERIOD photo of Hummer already show with Dur/max Conversion.

Default Traction Control vs 2WD/4WD or AWD

From what I gather, you get 2wd, 4wd hi, 4wd lo. They "add" a switch to manually lock the rear diff, but still allow you to use 4wd hi as AWD, so you basically get 4 modes vs 3, with the addition of 2wd.

I wish a knew more to expand on the topic.
As you can probably tell, I'd get someone to do the work. I'd love to have the time / experience to do the swap.

If you end up doing another project, please make a build log. They are always interesting.

I was actually referring to the Traction Control in the H2 and not the various options regarding 4WD/2WD/AWD, which has to do with the transfer case. If you look at the Duraburb (and many other build pic's and links from other builders pic's, you will notice in some of the pictures that they use the ABS module of the Donor truck and only has front wheel speed sensors active. The link I posted previously does a far better job of explaining H2's system. Go to the section describing the Bosch 4 channel Antilock/Traction control (ABS/TC) Having owned H2's for the last 10 years, I've never actually understood how it works until I tried to retain it in this conversion. The traction control is all about the ABS/EBCM and provides a similar yet not near as strong advantages as a differential locker. "The system senses any slipping wheels and applies the brakes to them individually, while the driveline and differentials transfer torque to the wheel with the high traction for added traction" There is also a good explanation of TC2 (and again, I never fully understood) Best to read the link, from Lynch hummer, tons more detail.

My hummer is trashed out? No its ****ing put to use like it was engineered to be. It makes me laugh when you claim to "be able to go places I could only dream of". Even your UTV looks like a mall crawler. Let's see 1 picture of video of you offroad. Until then I'm just going to assume that you are a douchebag with more money than *****. You seem like you'd be better off with a g-wagon or some other flashy pavement princess. That's why people don't wave.
I'll continue utilizing and enjoying every second of my "trashed out" h2 and you continue enjoying going to restaurants.

You really are a pretentious douche bag, aren't you?
Your argument is, "I have money, therefore, I'm superior."

What you're missing is sites concerning any kind of niche interest revolve around personal experience. I've never been on a vehicle forum that didn't in some way push wrench turning & a DIY attitude to some extent. I've seen people flamed for exactly what you did. It's not about money, it's about lack of skill & a braggadocios attitude.

If you explained what mods were done in detail (like a review) & have a more humble attitude, no one would have given a damn & you'd get a lot of questions/positive interest. Instead, you presented a "I clearly am very comfortable / rich / richer than you & because I paid someone to do this, praise me, praise their work as if I instructed them like an orchestra. Behold the glory."

Keep in mind, there's a lot of people with far more money than you can imagine who enjoy getting elbow deep in a project.

I keep getting the feeling all you want to do is brag. It's boring & not worth any forum's time.

I'm STILL wait to see this "buy log" posted on another hummer forum...
I want to see if people end up responding the same way. My guess would be yes & I bet it's not out of jealousy in any capacity.

I obviously don't fully understand how it works at all.
I'll do some more reading. I'd be curious to start a thread on that topic to see if someone can shed some light.

First off, I do not want to waste anymore time in this pissing match with you. Its pointless. But to your argument on my off roading prow-less/ mall cruising UTV, and Jeep. I can assure you with out even a shred of doubt that I have amass more off road miles that you have even dreamed of, and I can assure you that I have gone on more difficult terrain, if it was worth it, I could prove it, but why bother. For starters I have been on over 20 Jeep jamborees, (avg 2 events per year) and to Moab Utah 4 times (Easter Jeep Safari) No Hummers H2 events, because they suck off road unless you have the e- locker up from, and if you disagree with me, you have never pushed your H2 off road PERIOD. Your H2 will not compete with my Rubicon PERIOD!

As far as my UTV I have been on 3 real event in the 1 1/2 years I have had it. ( I put more that 6,000 miles on my truck just driving to events alone) and to Barn well (Gilmer east TX) at least a dozen times. There are places (I'm not talking about narrow either) my UTV has gone, and up your H2 would broke in half trying to go up. I have put over 600 miles on my UTV (ZERO highway miles as its not street legal) that's at 5 MPH in most cases. Beat that ! So don't even start with me on your damnn off road/Mall cruiser crap.

P.S. I go off road as my hobby and to be with my family, not to tear my stuff up.

You haters sound like a bunch of jealous kids who's neighbor boy got a new bike..I never mention the money at all, but now I see this is where are the "pretentious douche bag" comments are coming from.

Are you serious guy? I for one, will have a pissing match with you. I'll **** all day long if you want to argue about the offroad abilities of a hummer vs a jeep. Apples to oranges, but I'd expect that from a guy who claims to have gone to a hundred events, yet posts only 3 pictures of a lone UTV sitting on a back road. I'll bet you that pretty little UTV that my H2 could wheel with your Rubicon alllllll day buddy. If not put it to shame. I ride with Rubicon regularly. Nothing special there.

If you'd like, I'll start a new thread for us to post offroad pictures and videos. I've been to 0 official events yet I have hundreds of pictures and videos of me wheeling the h2. I'd rather go ride with a group of friends than trailer my **** to an event so me and a bunch of other rich douchebags can suck each other off.
Until I see something I just have to assume that your offroad credentials are a load of ****.
If you "pushed" your h2 like you claim you have, you'd be very impressed.

BTW dude, I never attacked your rig. I just pointed out that it can be disrespectful to people who actually work hard to earn respect. You attacked my rig without reason ****ing *******.
