Default Need your advice...

I am looking at our first Hummer and we are looking at a 2007 H3. We have a few choices and narrowed it down to two vehicles and would love to get everyone's thoughts.

First Vehicle:
2007 H3 (Victory Red)
Leather seats
Chrome wheels, gas cap and running boards
39,000 miles (has 2 years left on the power train warranty)
Price - $23,500

Second Vehicle:
2006 H3 (Yellow)
Navigation
Leather seats
29,000 miles
Price - $23,998

I would really love yellow but the newer year plus the warranty and the carfax report shows a lot of good maintenance.

Are these prices reasonable?

i paid 22000 for what u describe, red,07,37000, in july, paid more for carmax ext warr since this is new to me.
i love the red h3, would prefer cloth seats, but leather is ez clean up;

its my daily drive,(hourly)!
zero problems so far,42000+,from 37000

17 mpg reg driving, 37 lbs in 265 reg tires

i DO like heated seats, and swore i would not

i also wanted yellow, now love big red, my "red ryder"

red really looks great waxed well, and in the rain

its cool here in ind., h3 is hot in 1-2 miles

enjoy

i think i already washed it more than all previous combined and im 67!!!

The 2006 model year had some issues. I would be hesitant without a warranty for that model year. The nav is nice, but you could always add that later ... either factory or aftermarket. I had a yellow 2007 and it was easy to keep clean and looked great, but probably not worth the 2 years of peace of mind.

I think no matter what vehicle you buy your going to have issues at some point. I bought a yellow h3 for 20k with 36k miles, I bought it at christmas in 08. Now I have 47k on it. One thing happened the stability control computer stopped working and the engine wouldn't accelerate over 2000 rpm, but I still could get up to 70mph. The dealership said my h3 was still under factory warranty until 50k or July of 2010. The dealership said that it would cost around $700 to fix if I had to pay it on my own. I haven't had any other issues since then. You should check about the factory warranty because I never did and I would have up a creek without a paddle. Don't let this scare you, like I said no matter what vehicle you buy something will go wrong someday... Happy Buying!!

I would go for the 07. I think 22K for an 06 is still to high, even with the lower mileage. I was at the Hummer Dealer in Tustin yesterday and they had an 07 in really nice shape for 23K. I would bet there is still some room in that too.

The price on these vehicles jumped considerably in the last year for used. I have seen a 2006 for less than 20k but that was after negotiating a bit. Decided to go new instead.

The 2007 will have a 4 year 50K bumper to bumper and a 5 year 100K powertrain warranty. The 3.7 engine in the 2007 is a little peppier. I don't know about the location of the power window controls. That was a midyear change on the 2007's. Your will enjoy whichever you get. I have a Victory Red 2008 Lux and love it. I had a 2006 Victory Red Lux and loved it also. Good vehicles.

Here is the link to the vehicle. I guess I am very nervous because I really don't know the vehicle history. Is there anything glaring here? You can view the carfax but not sure it tells you everything.

Feedback? Sorry for all the questions just trying to learn through this
