Default Need some help

I have a 1997 H1 4 door. Looking to drop a cummins 6bt in it. i know they make a convertion kit for the tranny, but im hearing all sorts of nasty rummors about must have 4" body lift to fit. Anyway i need some serious info on (how-to) and where to get what i need to make things work. also curious about beefin up the entire drive train. What is the best way to make this an indestructable monster?

I knew you had to do a lift but wasn't sure about 4". PM Hummech.

I'm not sure if hm hummech is a site or what not. tried to look it up but no luck. still searching for more advice. What would be a good combination of motor and tranny? Personaly want to stick with the 12v cummins. but heard the 4L80 tranny is the only one to still fit and make it work. found an all mechanical but they want almost 5k....guess you get what you pay for!

Send Hummech a private message on the forum. He is a member here and runs Hummer service at Tustin Hummer. He can answer your questions for you. Look him up under the members list or look through the H1 threads, you will see his posts.

No problem. He is out of town for the next few days so it might take him a day or two to answer back.
