I am new to this forum and need some help please. We just bought a 05 H2 and we love it. The front diff has a hose on it that goes under the master cylinder which I guess its a breather. After running at high speeds on the freeway it drips oil out on the exhaust. Whats wrong!!! need answers please.

THAT IS A VENT HOSE,IT CLIPS UNDER THE MASTER CYLINDER AND IT SHOULD HAVE A CAP ON THE OTHER SIDE TO KEEP FLUID IN.JUST CALL YOUR LOCAL DEALER AND THEY CAN GET A DIAGRAM OF IT FOR YOU.IF ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE THEN THEREIS APOSSIBILITY THAT THERE IS TO MUCH FLUID IN THE DIFF.

 

I have already checked the fluid level and its low. Does that cap have a check valve?

i have the same issue with my H2 SUT... any ideas?

 

there is a service bullitin to add a larger hose and a filter to allow the fluid to drain back into the diff. If you are still under warranty this will be a no charge repair or you can buy 3 feet of 1/4 hose and do it yourself. dont forget the hose clamp
