HI every1
Im replacing the TC , Diff and tranny fluid in the next 2 days

The more info I look the harder it gets to make a decisions .
Based on many posters I bought 5 qt of Mobil 75-90 for the 2 diff however some websites claims that this do not meet GM Spec .

Is the M1 still a good choice
What to use for the tranny and TC , The manual said Dexron VI .. What Brand?

Should match the Tranny fluid with the Diff and TC

Is it the $$$ Royal Purple necessary

When I bought mine I went through and changed all the fluids including the diffs and went with Mobil 1. I couldn't justify the price of RP which was almost double what M1 costs here in AZ. Especially considering the amount of oil you need for everything. I've used M1 in all my vehicles my entire life so I figured I'd stick with it.

 

Just done ..Engine oil changed and Diff Mobil1 75-90 .. Still need to do the radiator ,TC and Tranny flush ..
Getting ready fr the Road trip

 

Use Synthetic tranny fluid. Dextron 6 is backward compatible and is better than DexIII

 

Will make a full flush at Dealer . but I will replace the TC with the D6

BTW please check last post for tranny flush without change filter . let me know wha t you guys think ... THX
