Default Navigation Question. Help! > !

I'm looking at purchasing a used factory navigation unit for my 2005 H2. I have been told by the seller that this item is plug and play and requires no further equipment. I can't imagine that this is possible as the gps unit needs an antenna to communicate with the gps satelittes? Am i wrong in thinking he's trying to push one over on me ? or is he correct in saying it's plug and play? any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I would think it uses the OnStar tenna, so it would be a plug and play. Don't know for sure though.

Well, I don't know for sure, but when they installed me my GPS they added a dedicated antenna.
But, maybe the OEM gps can be connected to the OS antenna.

Nope...You need an GM OEM GPS antenna. We had the OEM Nav added to the wife's Escalade, and that's what we needed to buy.

BTW, if your running the BOSE amp, you have to find out if it's the LUX or NON-LUX amp. Different amp means different GM Nav system.
