I picked up an OEM Nav unit, and it is throwing the theft protection. Is there anyway to override it??

 

You have to take it to a GM dealer. They have to reprogram the vin# into the BCM or the radio. I forget.

Did you get all of the "other stuff" that goes with the OEM NAV for the install?

 

I used to have instructions to give them so they'd know how to do it but I think I threw them out. The first dealer said it couldn't be done so I had to drive an hour to another dealer who had done it for someone else.

 

Get yourself a Tech2 (expensive), or save yourself alot of dough and take it to a dealer for flashing/vin relearn.. GL
