So my nav disc has been getting worse and worse in terms of slowness and functionality, until a few weeks ago it gave out completely. I've cleaned the disc and the lens (using a basic lens cleaning CD), and it worked tentatively, but no longer does. Any idea where one can acquire one for less than the $200 the dealer wants?

ebay has them for about $135.

 

IMHO, you're better off buying an aftermarket head unit that mirrors your smart phone or an Android based head unit. No more dealing with out of date maps or old scratched up discs, no paying for map updates, more choices of arguably better nav apps.... It will cost more up front, but buy once and done.

 

I think i would just go with a nexus 7 head unit switch
