My Off-Road lights; the new location
Well, undoubtedly there will be some that don't like it, but I installed two of them.
I agree they should be high, but my wife and I drive downtown, and we haven't been able to this entire summer because alot of the parking garages that are close to where we like to go only have a clearance of 6'0 or 6'1. That was one of the reasons I took the bar off. We don't have a second car so I needed it lower so I can fit into these places.
The second point is that I was just sick of looking at that bulky thing. I woudl get the OEM ones but I don't have a whole lot of money right now @#$@#*%**% so I did what I could with what I had. Keep in mind, they are 125 watts a piece and some kind of super-bright bulbs, so they do what I need them to, which is light up the really dark roads I drive sometimes around here.
I wanted them more for that then just the looks. I will definitely eventually replace them with real PIAA lights, but in the meantime, I think they look good where I placed them.
I will post a pic in the next couple of days. I appreciate all of your feedback though. I hear you loud and clear, but sometimes, you gotta be creative with what you have.
Also, those pictures were just with them placed loosely under the plastic piece. It looks alot better now then it does in those pics. You'll see
