Got any details on that rack? I've never seen one like that before....Interesting....

 

Funny I dont see a lot of racks on H3's. A few OEM's here and there but I have seen very few "Safari" racks. The Gobi rack just didn't look "Hummer" enough, not to mention the $1500 price tag. FJ's and even Xtera's have cool racks, I guess you can call it rack envy. I live in LA and they do a lot of filming near me. I saw this Mercedes suv camera truck and it this tubing all around it. I asked the camera man about it. It is called "Speed Rail" and is all aluminum. I got it from IMS in Sunland, and the whole set up ran me about $250.
I sprayed it with "Plasti Kote" rubber like coating (doesn't chip). I used 1/2" carage bolts and it fits in to the rack chanel

 

Damn....Just found the web site....I've got that stuff all over my computer room and operations center.

Who would have thunk it.

 

Will they notice if some goes missing?

Looks good 2z. I'd had the same idea, just didn't know how to go about getting it. Knowing the trade name helps.

How about the rear tire cover? Where did that one come from? What are the bolts/lugs in the center of it for?
