My H3 Review (Compared to Chevy Venture)
Ok, so we traded in our 2003 Chevy Venture LS Extended for a 2006 Hummer H3.
Venture Pluses:
- rear vents (AC and heat)
- ceiling mounted factory DVD player
- 96 litre tank
- auto-leveling rear suspension
- built-in air compressor
- rear side windows "open"
- ACCELERATION (3.4 l 3400 V6)
- visibality
- smooth ride (except over larger bumps/railway tracks)
Hummer Pluses:
- lots of heat (-40' yesturday!)
- sunroof
- leather
- larger tires for smooth rides over bumps
- higher up (I like that feeling)
- 4x4/AWD
- head-turning looks!
We were having problems with our 03 Chevy Venture van (66,000 KM) like brakes not working sometimes (I kid you not) and dealers not being able to track down the problem, electrical problems, NO HEAT. I had brought it in and while waiting for a shuttle for my wife and I, we noticed they had 2006 H3s for a ton of money off. I took a brochure, and while driving back, asked the wife if we could get one.
Anyways, I called them during the day and told them we might be leaving the van there, and they had everything ready for us to try some H3s out. Long story short, we bought one that night, and have been happy ever since!
Hopefully summer will bring lots of fun driving it. We're not typically "off-road" people, but we might try some simple off-road.
