That's awsome, guy. I wouldn't trade my girls for anything! It's about the best adventure you're going to ever have. And While I'm thinking of it, here's a shot of my little-un's. They're 9 and 4, but the pic is from Halloween 05.

i have to say, that while the missus and i hope to have kids some day, i would rather not have girls...just because i dont think that i could deal with some little punk rolling up in a noisy car to take her out...just like i was doing when i was their age...

im afraid that id kill someone...

I hear ya Patrick!!! My wife is preggo now for the second time and I pray to god every night that it's another boy!!!

Funny story....my uncle had two boys and a girl the girl went on her first date when she was 16, her brothers were 18 and 22. When the boy came to pick her up for their date my Aunt let him in the house, and directed him into the living room to wait for my cousin. He walked into the living room and my uncle was on the couch bore-sighting in his 30-06 while her brothers were sitting at the coffee table packing shellsFrom what I was told they went out for a few months and she was ALWAYS home 30 minutes before her curfew

My Lt. at my fire station used to tell the guys that would date his daughter:

"If you make her cry, ... I make you cry". But my favorite was: "anything you wan to do to her, you have to do to me first" .. LOL. He's a big ol burly dude.. so it's better when he tells it, and you can see him etc.

I dread the teens years myself.. but I'm not too worried about it. I think if you give themthe attention theydeserve, and raise them right, they'll make good choices. I don't expect them to never have sex etc.. but I think I could handle the thought of it better if it was some good kid who cared about them vs. some punk trying to add another notch to his belt. I'm also constantly aware that my daughters will develope their views of thier future spouse or partners based on me.. so as I have always done, andI continue, to provide a clear example of how a gentleman should treat a lady. Hopefuly they will see any drastic differences with some of the boneheads they will undoubtably date, and choose to steer clear ofthem. One can only hope anyway..

I certainly wouldn't let it keep me from the joys of being a father to girls. Boys can get in plenty of trouble in their own ways. Besides, theres just something awsone about snuggling on the couch with my little sweeties.. I'd be far more concerned with having a healthy child vs what sex it is.

Just my 2 cents
