got new plates, DAMN! also had to get a mounting bracket for front plate at dealer, again DAMN.. but altogether it was only $80

The kicker is I went to a detailer to see about cleaning it up.....$300 for the outside for a Polish and buff, not sure if all scratches will come out but worth the try..... atleast till next time I leave the pavement

I got mine equally as muddy over Memorial Day weekend. 3 easy steps can take care of it though

1. Pressure Wash it
2. Mr. Clean Carwash it
3. Polish it your self.

I had a couple new pinstrips on mine when I got done cleaning it.I hit them with a buffer at about 2k RPM and compound and they came out quickly. However mine is Pewter and buffs out nicely and is very forgiving. Black is the most unforgiving color that you will find when it comes to polishing.

My black H2 taught me never to get a black off road vehicle unless you don't care at all what it looks like. Black is a PIA to keep clean under normal conditions. Scratches that will disappear with other colors are memories for a lifetime in black. Drive your scratched up H2 with pride...people will be able to tell it didn't happen at the mall.
