I adjusted the torsion bars on mine like 3 weeks ago. Mine was leaning to the left. Once it hits 500 miles I'll take it in for an alignment.
You may want to take it sooner than that. Most on here suggested taking it soon as possible when I did mine.
Yes, I would want to do it right away, but dealers aren't allowed to ok an alignment on a new vehicle until it hits 500 miles. I work at a dealer and know the rules, unfortunately, lol.

How bad does adjusting the torsion bars affect the mpg?
It depends on how you adjusted them and what for. I adjusted mine because it was leaning left to right. It is now even, left to right, however it is still lower in the front than in the back.

If you adjust it to where the front is even with the back, it takes some downforce away and you will lose a couple of MPG.

I have dealers not want to change lots of things from factory specs. They will reset stuff to what the manual says they should be even if it doesn't work as well. Do it yourself and don't worry about it.

Strange, I had mine adjusted at 200 miles, it was pulling to the left at delivery.

My dealer said the same thing. I had the Bilstein/Cognitofront leveling shocks to install when they adjusted the torsion bars but they said absolutely not so I'm going to do it myself. This might be of some help: https://www.hummerforums.com/m_85049/tm.htm

These sites here were passed along to me byrhill20 so I will pass them along to you.

My dealer had no problem with it! I leveled mine out and ended up taking it back down about 1/4", not sure if it did anything or not. It almost looked like I was going to go desert running with it leveled totally. Aren't many of those in Ohio
