My 05 SUT-img_0343.jpg

Ive used plastidip on my wheels and painted the front grill with regular black paint. I like the added black to the wheels. thinking about taking them to a paint shop and having them done.

thx to everyone who posted info about plastidip, I read all the posts before trying it. so far loving it!

plastidip rules. I've dipped my entire H2

Why have a shop paint your wheels black if the plastdip works for you? I've dipped many vehicles rims and I've never had a problem yet, everything thinks they are stock black rims as well. and IF I were to ever get a tear or scratch I'd just rip it off and spray a couple new layers! Can't beat 20$ to spray all 4 rims with 4-5 coats.

Accely, your post is the one that made me defiantly decide to plastidip my wheels. after seeing your results I was sold on using it.
ill see how the wheels hold up before I decide to have them painted or reuse the plistidip.

I also did my taillights with the "smoke" plastidip. they aren't as dark as I want but maybe a few more coats.

Plastidip isn't good for lights since it's not translucent. You should use something like rustoleum light tint. 2-3 coats is just right and it's also what I use for lights.

blacked out most of my lights, need to do the roof markers yet. I added a brush guard and a couple of fog lamps. ive decided they are way to small so I ordered a pair of 5" square CREE LEDs and a 20" Cree light bar. as soon as they show up ill get them mounted and post another pic.
