Musty Smell
This may not apply to your case, but a couple of months after I bought the H3 I started noticing a musty smell. Not overpowering, but definitely there. Then one day while at work and the truck was out in the parking lot we had a bad-*** storm come through that dropped a lot of rain in a real short time. When I went out to the truck to go home that afternoon, I found the floorboard under the seat soaked and actually holding water and when I went to pull the seatbelt across my chest it was also soaked. To make a long story short: one of the torx head bolts used to mount the roof rails was left out from the factory, and the musty smell was actually coming from the seatbelt. Water was running down the pillar post between the front and rear doors and wetting the seatbelt tensioner.
and sugardaddy has an H2, so not the same setup. could also be your sunroof drain tubes clogged and water leaking into the floor, but you'd notice a soaked floorboard, so that's probably not it.
My father has an H2 (Mine is on order) and he has a musty smell at times too... mainly when it is warm outside. We can not find anything inside and even the dealer coudl not. They tried ionizing it and still there... anyone else?
no cabin filters in H2s as far as i know. but if that were the case, you'd really smell it when you turned on the heat, and i don't think that's the case here. it's either leaky ho's (considering the source, quite possible), or plain old damp, dirty floor mats.
