mud flaps
Hey there I have a 08 alpha with 20" wheels and tires and looking for a good mud flap to help with all of the splash on side of door handles and paint? any help or ideas on this subject?
|
Post some pics so we can see how far your rims stick out.
|
they sick out about a 1/2 to 1" is all
|
I have the stock mudflaps that don't cut down on the rocks and mud as much as I'd like. The nerf bars or some wide sliders allow a lot less of that junk to make it onto the paint. The E&G flares (or the like) will probably your best bet.

Yeah my mud flaps stop some of it but not all.

I will keep an eye on this thread also, My tires stick out pretty far, I can see roosters coming up off my front fenders when it is raining..

You have two basic choices that I am aware of, there may be more.
The OEMs look good and are SUPER EASY to install. Then there are the Husky Liners which are a tad larger than the OEMs and also molded to fit very well. Maybe somebody with the Huskys can post up a pic? |
I had the husky's mudd flaps, but I didn't like them. There may be a pic in one of my albums here on HF. I still have if someone wants them for $20 plus you have to pay shipping.

I have both on mine, huskys in the front as they are wider (for NY winters) and OEM in the rear lol. I have the others not used sitting in the garage.
This pic is old but you get the idea. Also, the steps in the picture are off now and sitting in the garage. If anyone in NY is looking for a set, let me know lol. http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/9224/p8040277.jpg |
