I'm out. Don't have any movies about Rock stars in my collection, and have not seen any that I recall. A rock Star, by definition would need to be famous, would he not? If he is famous, then somewhat famous make him...? So if he is not really famous, then he is not really a star... meaning, its a movie about some guy playing rock.

Movies that come to mind, but I've never seen:
Rock Star (obviously)
Tommy Lee goes to College
La Bamba
The Doors
This is Spinal Tap

Thats all I know, I am sure there are others.

The ROCK STAR he played was FAMOUS, but not in a "traditional" sense. Maybe more infamous!!
