Move Backup Cam Display to Stereo
Ok well I am new here and have done some searching around to see it this has been done before or not. But I have an 2008 H2 with the factory backup camera system that displays on the review mirror. I'm swapping out the factory head unit with a Kenwood DNX-9980HD using the GMOS-100 factory integration adapter. I'm wondering if it is possible to change the display of the backup cam from the mirror to the new head unit. There is an input for rearview cam on the head unit. Has anyone done this or had this done?
Thanks, love the forum so far.

without lookin id guess that the cam has coax going up to the mirror.
you might get lucky and find you can unhook it and do an adapter to the new rig, or solder up a splice/adapter.
it should still work if its solid even if not pretty.
you can download the complete svc manual for abt 20 bucks. that helps with everything you will be doing.

Break it open take a look. There are numerous potential configurations but I can't imagine it being anything 5 dollars in parts from rat shack won't have you up and running with your new headunit. I know the cams do provide an ntsc signal and from there it's just a matter of getting power to it.
