The dealer told me on my last visit (check engine light) that along with my thermostat stuck open and cracked exhaust manifold, I have a motor mount that is broken. I searched and couldn't find any write-ups on replacing motor mounts. Anyone here done that, and if so, any tips? I'm ordering up all the parts and figured I'd do it all at once. Any advice would be much appreciated.

What code accompanied your CEL?

 

Don't know what the code was but I was told it was for the thermostat. Engine wasn't warming up correctly.

 

replacing motor mounts aren't too difficult...either hoist the engine up a little or jack it up and place wood blocks under for support...I haven't done it on a Hummer before just an old FireBird...Looks like just a ratchet and socket will get the job done...
