Mileage UGGHH
I have a 08 H3 5cyl getting 13.2 mpg; the tires are a little bigger than the stock ones. Is my mileage normal? I heard someone was getting 18 mpg and that would be great! Can i get to this and what are the best 2 options, thx guys.

Drop the weight and get it as close to stock will improve your mileage - but I'd rather have the truck I want to drive than a couple extra MPG..
I'm just North of you in Cedar Park -
Hey Widget, I'm just up the road from ya here around Belton/Ft. Hood! With the winds we get here which for me are normally a 20-30 mph crosswind (just my luck, hardly ever a tailwind!) I'm getting about 17 at 70 on the hwy and a low of 15 around town. If I'm just cruising the backroads at 70 and the winds are low or it's good and flat (in the hill country?) I'll see 17.5-18. Throw in a few stop signs and acceleration back onto the highway and it'll drop back down a point or two. I wish I could see 19 or 20 from mine, but unless I'm on I-10 through Louisiana doing 65 I'll probably never see that.
You do much wheeling? There's a place 5 mi outside of Marble Falls you might like. A little something for everyone there.

I'm at 13 with 33" BFGs... but the way I see it - I'm making money on the deal. I got my 2006 3 years ago used for 21k... and that's nearly what its worth now. So MPGs aside - I'm so far ahead of any other vehicle I could have purchased at the time, I figure I'm paying around 75 cents a gallon. Just let it ride... in the bigger picture there isn't much diff between 13 and 19 anyway.
You brought a TRUCK, they suck on gas, but the you knew when you brought it. Try not getting on it all the time, don't jack rabbit from stops, let the engine slow you down at approaching stop lights or signs. Depending on your mileage try changing the plugs, I know they are supposed to last a while, but I just changed my plugs in the Vette, 2000 w/21,000 miles and the majority of them were gapped too wide new plugs fixed that and now get 20-25 mpg...
Keep it bone stock, keep the maintenance up and you get stock mileage. Put tires on it expect to lose a few, buy wheels and have your tires sticking out, expect to lose a few. roof rack lose a few.
Why buy a hummer and then complain about mpg? Thats like buying a prius and complaining its ugly.
