Default Maybe Joining the dark side today.

I have been looking at a 2008 H3 Solar Flare Metallic, with 41,xxx miles on it one owner never smoked in. Has the light bar up top and allegedly the guy dropped 5grand in chrome options such as door handles, mirrors, running boards, Hood louver, and grill not the webber kind sorry bad joke. They were asking 22,xxx for it and I have it dropped down to 20,700 and they are giving me more then anyone else for my trade. Anything I should really look for before I sign today?

I'm a bit confused....if he added the chrome grille, that means it originally had a body colored grille. If it had the body colored grille, it would have been an H3X, which should have had the chrome parts you mentioned right from the factory (not the hood louver)?
P.S. nice looking truck!

the only thing i can think of at the moment is, does this truck have the adventure package? ive come across several dealers in the past that claim their H3 has this and they clearly did not since it did not have the selector switches for the diff locks next to the 4x4 control buttons. this package adds a couple thousand to the sticker price. other than that, i would make sure every switch and button works and that they have a 30 day warranty at least..... thats my 2 cents... good luck and enjoy the ride!

The story on $5k in aftermarket chrome doesn't sound right, but whatever. Most dealers I have talked with when shopping were happy to provide a carfax - I'd try to get that. Price might be a bit high, but no idea if it's a Lux, Adventure, other options like Nav or dvd screens in the headrests.. Plus once you are trading something in the prices can change a lot, raise or lower value on both vehicles makes no difference to the dealer.

Looks nice though - I like the color and the roof lights. Unless you get tires bigger than will fit in the bigger tire cover, I'd keep it. I think those body color matched tire covers look great.

Just go to the dealer website stanfordallen.com and there are 62 pictures and a free Carfax report. Looks like a base with the chrome appearance pkg. plus chrome hood vent and offroad lights with an H3X tire cover. I did not see the X logo on the headrests and it does not have the Monsoon stereo system. Nice looking truck.

Depending on when it first sold, it may have a bit of the bumper-to-bumper warranty left and at least a year of powertrain.
