This is more stressfull than watching Hillary and Obama on TV....

Rhill20, just was wondering when you were in Mogidishu? I was there myself, actually there were 18 of us from a seabee battalion and a small unit from the 1st MEF Marine Unit,. We were the first ones in there to set up all the runway lighting and build the Helo pad at the airport before anyone else landed. Also did some work at the embassy and the Port. I live in the tents at the end of the runway called Camp Stalder. Got there Dec of 92 Left Apr 93 when the army corp of eng. took over from us.

6 Apr 93 - 30 July 93/ 13 Dec 93 - 28 March 94; Lived in the tents on the beach side of the runway and the second time at the port. Was like being in a fish bowl with the whole city looking down on you, made for some interesting moments. Never could get used to the C-5's landing in the middle of the night or the 5 gallon homemade showers. I was in the 516th CSB out of Bragg, ran the convoys through the city to the University and back and downloaded the ships. Got back to the states just in time to go visit Haiti
