I am in the market for a new truck. Looking at the H3. Does anyone know what manufacture dates are covered under the GM 5-year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty that was added a few years back. I have heard several different answers from dealers. I don't necessarily know who to believe. I know that many dealers will tell me what I want to hear. Also, are there any reliability concerns between 2006, 2007 & 2008?

 

I am in the process of buying a 2008 H3. I simply called GM and gave them the VIN. They looked it up for me and told me I still have factory warranty remaining on it and exact dates as to when the 50k and 100k mile warranties would end. They were very helpful. So, if you can get ahold of the VIN, give them a call.

 

The 100,000/5yr powertrain warranty is for the 2007's and newer. Time starts from the date of original purchase

 

I've the 2006 and it only had the 50k/3year factory warranty nothing beyond that, but you can purchase the extended warranty.

 

airborne is right. I bought my 07 back in December knowing nothing about the warranty and was thrilled when I discovered remaining factory warranty.

 

hello, this is my first post and fist hummer h3 its a 2006 h3 and the warranty did change in 2007 as others state, it the powertrain and years that changed, if you buy it at dealer you can buy warranty, bought the hummer dealer in canada where i bought it is 2500 for 12 months, ouch, dont worry, great vehicle, look at edmunds, for reviews, good luck
