Anybody know anything about the "tint in a can"? Spray tint.
Yeah.... they make this stuff called Night Shades. If your lenses are new... it will come out perfect.... if they are old... you will have veins/runs/streaks.... you will be fine with the lenses you have...

WrongWay1 I just had the dealer install the lights this week as an add on after a year of owning the truck.

rhill-I used something like what muddy is talking about on tail lights years back on a Jetta I owned. Stuff look and works well if you spray lightly in coats to prevent runs.

Thanks for all the input. The tinting spray might be the way to go...make them blend in a bit better. I was already thinking about tinting the turn signals and the tail lights. How durable is the tinting spray? Will the UV rays make them look crappy after a couple of years? I also will plug them in and test them tonight...I've decided to continue deliberating for a couple more days. Need to be sure!

If I can find this spray stuff I'm going to do all the amber lenses also. I did my DRL's (for the 06) or turn signals with window film. Looks good and hasn't come off in about 8,000 miles of HWY driving. You can see them in the pic on the last page.

Your turn lens came out nice with the tint. I read on a different forum that with the night shades tint you should finish it off with a clear coat to help seal it and make it more durable. I'm searching for the stuff now...hope to find it somewhere here in LA.
