Hi HUmmer-ites

Bought a H3,three weeks ago. Took her for a long drive and the malfunction indicator light has come on. She is a 2008 model. Anyone of you had the same problem ?

 

Check engine lights can be caused by many things, from very minor, to a significant problem capable of further damage to the motor.

Is it running smooth, no misses or rough idle? Have you done anything to it modification wise. Since it is new, I would take it to the dealer for a scan.

Thanks. Am taking it to the dealer this Friday. The light has now gone off. But will keep you all posted this weekend.

 

went to the dealer today. Mechanic replaced all 6 spark plugs. One of them was bad as water had got in !!!! they asked me if I had sprayed water near the plugs !! I had not. wonder how come a new h3 had this problem!.

She runs smooth now.

 

H3? ......you mean all 5 plugs.

I am glad it was a minor item. Still a PITA to have to go back to the dealer, but you are good to go.
