My H2 got rear-ended at a light yesterday by a '86 chevy celebrity rust bucket on way to work!
Not too bad for me (I hope) the car hit in the drivers side tow loop and went under. Destroyed the front of his car. Shallow dents in bumper around tow loop and lower face of bumper. Bent my license plate (it's on a bracket to left of tow loop) but didn't bend the bracket and the light still works.
I keep thinking if I had been in my F250, it would have been worse for both of us. I have a flat step-bumper w/hitch, and it is a lot lower than the H2. Probaly would have jacked up my bumper, spare and more than likely wacked my frame when the hitch hooked him! Not to mention that his engine/trans might have been shoved back.
Gonna need a new bumper, attaching/mounting hardware, at least one tow loop and assoc. hardware, and maybe a new track bar(?). All the plastic is untouched, so was the tire carrier/spare.
Maybe the shop can re-do the license plate light wiring when they put things back together (I hacked it in).
Gonna take it to dealer/mechanic to get an evaluation of mechanical damage (not body work) to make sure that the drivetrain and brakes are still sat (seems to drive fine, but why take a chance).

its great to have an H2. I have a lifted h2 and was hit from behind by a chevy trailblazer. the trailblazer was totaled and little scratch by the tow hitch and my rearview camera does not work.

I love this truck.

bumper, swaybar,bushings & links, along with the track bar need replaced. Without the trackbar I got a check for just shy of a grand.
Insurance adjuster called, parts in MI. Trying to get them overnighted, and H2 back by Fri.
Gave me a >10K mi Tahoe to drive in the meantime. It is LOADED! In my opinion to much crap. The legends for the dash switches are way to small to read. Still don't care for the GM power seat design. row 1 & 2 are bucket with fold-up and take out 3rd row (2 piece).
The engine is pretty kick a$$ when manually shifting the 5 spd auto.
The 20" wheel & tire combo makes it feel like an old truck. (not enough sidewall to smooth out the bumps).
Not bad, but not my cup of tea. Although, the 5 spd auto would be nice in the H2.
