This is the Mercedes McLaren SLR wheel. Saw it on an episode of Top Gear. I've searched for something like it for the H2 but can't figure out a good keyword for the shape. Already tried 'turbine', 'twisted', and similar. Anyone seen a wheel like this or know a good keyword to search on? The SLR wheels are 19", wrong bolt pattern, and probably as much money as the Duramax conversion But I really like the look, being an old jet mech and all.

Thanks, google brings up mostly SLR wheels, other search engines don't even bring up any wheels.

 

Pardon my ignorance but you are looking those Mercedes wheels for a hummer ?

I will make same question if I see a Mercedes guy looking for offroad wheels for his SLR

 

To me, those would probably look Better on a Hummer than they would on a Mercedes!

 

The wheels I have are sort of a 2D version of those turbine wheels.
I've never seen turbine wheels that are 8 lug.

 

If I could afford these wheels I'd prolly do the Duramax convert instead! But I'm looking for a similar design in an 8-lug pattern, my searches haven't turned up anything even close.

A dude in town has some on his Dodge Dually but he doesn't know the name or brand. He told me where he got them years ago but I haven't had time to stop by there. I'll take a pic next time I see the truck.

In my mind a Mercedes wheel will be skinny looks fragile and match with the low profile tires which will put a lot of streets on the h2
But on a 8 lug version you may be right

 

The 8-lug wheels I saw on the dually are definitely beefier. I don't want SLR wheels, just a style that's close to it. The search continues...
