Default looking for a hummer

Hey guys, I am a owner of a tahoe Z71 right now and am in the market for an H2. I have always been a fan of the hummers but just have not been able to afford one till now. I have always wanted an H1 but an H2 will do for now! My brother-in-law (pro baseball player) was sponsered by a GM dealer and actually got a few dealer cars (gmc yukon denali, custom H2, and a stock 2009 h2...etc.). A family friend drives an H2 with 20" rockstars and it is all blacked out. Im obsessed with hummers to say the least and still wish I could have afforded one when I got my first ride. I am looking at this hummer on ebay, let me know what you think. Thanks again. -Lee

Don't buy off eBay, they are all over priced on there by far.
I've developed a system of getting the best price on any auto that's been working damn good for years. People who are technologically challenged and wealthy are the best targets for a good deal. They have no idea how to sell and typically just try things like posting a rough crappy Craigslist add.

So what you do; use SearchTempest - The EASY way to search Craigslist and put in for a 1000 mile search radius and look for Hummer H2 and fill in for your price range. When I was looking for mine I did 6999-1699 and started weeding through them from there. Once you have a stack of potentials start making calls and ask questions about mechanical or cosmetic defects. See what all has been replaced or removed. If you keep someone on the phone sorting through these fats they end up telling you their life story and the reason why they are selling.

Some of these people need to sell fast because of divorce, unemployed, or have another dream car in mind they have to move on fast. Once they go through this story with you ask them what their best CASH price is. Magically thousands drop off the total, from there offer a couple less. If they don't jump on it then tell them thanks but you have a few more to look at and politely hang up. Try your others and do the same, and in a few days start calling them back. By now inception has taken over and that offer you dropped has grown and they have a middle road counter offer.

Typically I see H2's on eBay going for 20k sell for 14-15k with this method. I just bought my 2003 H2 luxury for 12k and it's flawless happy hunting

Honestly, you can score big on ebay, but typically not on vehicles. That being said, this particular H2 appears to be at a dealer ship so you might be able to bring the price down. Not sure what the reserve is set at however it appears to have been driven ALOT. almost 50k on a 3yr old vehicle...

It looks nice, however the fitment and quality of that Road Armor bumper is not worth it! That sucker will rust in no time flat and chance are customization took place in order to install it... Things were "trimmed" and modified to get it to fit, things that you will never, ever, be able to undo to bring it back to stock...

The dirt logics and double hoops are available aftermarket so dont get lost in their allure... the wheels IMHO need to go, they are for show and a rig that large will tear them apart...

I personally like the 03-07 and the 07 being the best IMHO... performance and looks combined, the interior on the 08-10s just dont look the same...

Shoot me a pm or email if you have any more questions.

Others will chime in, but I would wait to hear from MuddyDawg he is the H2 nerd for all intents purposes and has that bumper w/ the bigger brush guard...

95K and every option apparently for the luxury edition w/ new wheels and tires everything else in the same range was 14.5-18k and not even in the same shape. Persistence helped to find the perfect one that wasn't beat on.
