Looking to buy an H3, should I avoid the 3.5?

I have an 06. It just turned over 101K. It was in the 'bad head VIN range' but never had a problem. I would imagine if I was going to have an issue it would have turned up before now. I have done a few of the typical performance mods and it is no slouch when its time to roll. Not to mention the mods boost MPG on the already relatively good MPG for the 3.5. So, I think with a few mods the 3.5 can run with the others and do it on less gas (over 18mpg in the city.. no b.s.) I loved mine. No regrets.. tho I admit I was a little bummed when the Alpha came out.. but im over that now

. If you get get more warranty by buying newer then that would would be a plus for sure. But don't write off a good buy just because it is 06 3.5.
