My H2 is not a Tahoe with a body kit.
I love these guys that "HATE" on the Hummer and think they are a Tahoe.
They have no clue do they. Cracks me up.
At least once I get away from the common folk and get out on the trails most of those guys know, and regaurdless of what we drive we all have a good time.

But the question is, is my H3t just a Colorado that looks a bit different?

That's a damn good one and I have to admit I don't know enough about it to say one way or the other but I would say no it is not. But now you have me curious. What are some of the main upgrades over the Chevy. I don't want to assume this or that you know.

I hear this crap all the time at work..there was a Tahoe on a lift the other day & one of the techs started messing with me that there was a Hummer on the lift...I pointed out it only had 6 lugs & asked if it had a locking rear diff....Then I pointed out how low the front was & what a joke the front approach was! Lots of HATERS out there...

makes me laugh too.... the suburban owner that always calls it a tahoe had no problem calling me when he buried his truck and trailer.... of course I had to drag both of them around for a while without stopping to prove a point... including dragging them both through the spot he was stuck.

vs

A guy driving down the road with his friend screeched to a stop and came up my driveway because he buried his ford on 40's and saw my Deuce and thought I could help him because the Dodge couldn't...

Nice. That's funny stuff. I will say though. When I'm put I'm the trails I get a lot of guys say cool glad to see someone bringing I'm of those out here and doing something with it. The one guy in specific has a few keeps that he brings out but when ever he or a buddy gets stuck he goes home to get his lifted Survey to pull then out. But its all in good fun at that point.

Awe damn. Stupid auto spell check on my phone. Sorry I ment his lifted Hummer. The guy cracks me up he always bring his old jeeps out and leaves the Hummer at home till they get stuck or break something then his Hummer is the "on stand by" off road tow truck more or less. Hey what ever works. Nice group of guys though.

I was being tongue in cheek. Different platforms (355 vs 375). IIRC I read somewhere that the colorado and the H3t share something like 10% of their parts, mainly engine/transmission and built on a highly modified Colorado frame.

(semi back on topic) - somewhat analogous to the H2/Tahoe comparison.

Just did a search: here is one of the threads I was thinking of and it's even on this site - https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...-please-19448/

Hey thanks for the link to that thread. I didn't realize they were that different. I'll admitt when the H2 first came out I was jelous of Hummers. mostly because I was a little younger and the only ones I ever saw living in IL where Bright yellow with chrome rims driven by folks that I know only had it because it was the big thing back then. Over the years I have learn the error of my ways. When the H3 came out I didn't know much about them other than what others would say. The Colorado comparo, I'm glad I have changed my mind and thanks again for sharing that link.
I feel proud to be part of the Hummer family and lucky to have popa H1 and brother H3. Good times and good people.
