Is the H2 exterior locking fuel compartment door available from the dealer and/or a website for an H2 which did not come equipped with one OEM? Thanks.
Depends on WHAT you are looking for.

I like(and HAVE) the OEM one:

But this one DOESN'T LOCK. Depending on WHERE you buy it, it may come with the locking gas cap, or you can buy the cap seperately. Check eBay as the Stealership charges $$$$ for this, and you can get them on eBay for $99-$155 usually.

Just search on eBay: HUMMER H2 FUEL DOOR

This is the PROPER locking gas cap you would need if you go OEM:

There are TONS of different aftermarket ones. Depends on the LOOK you want!!

Here's the type that I was referring to. I saw one on a pre-owned H2 this past week, and thought that it was a pretty slick idea. I have since located the vendor who carries these.

Now with the price of gasoline on the rise once again, and with 32 gallons of gasoline readily available for the taking, I feel that this is a pretty inexpensive theft deterrent. All of my current vehicles have locking fuel compartment doors and/or locking gas caps. Of course, this won't preclude some perpetrators from drilling a hole in the fuel tank(s) like they've done just a few months ago within the outlying areas. Name: Chimpanzeanimated.gif

My neighbor came out to his truck (H2) one morning and found SAND had been poured into his tank; luckily he saw the mess and didn't start the engine. But it was still a pain for him to have it towed and have the tank dropped and cleaned out...

Yea, sugar is normal here too; however my neighborhood is on the beach so I think it was just an opportunist.
