Default Locking Fuel Doors

Do you have to lock them? I mean do they lock upon closure - or can you keep them unlocked like any without the lock feature?? Specifically this kind if anyone knows. Thank you

I believe you could just close it over and not lock it. But why buy a locking one if your not going to use it? They do make them without locks - get one of those.

Thanks. Well i want it in black, and I don't think I came across any without that lock feature. If anyone knows where I could find a link to those - I would appreciate it.

I have the fuel door you listed...it has to be re-locked...the key does not come out of the cylinder unless its re-locked

Here's at least one link that shows two non-locking black filler doors. Before I bought my locking version, the searches I did showed there are many vendors that sell locking and non-locking.

Here is the one that I put on my H3. After you unlock it, you have the choice of just closing it back, or re-insert the key and locking it back. It worked great this last weekend while on my trip to Bristol. I didn't have to take the keys out the iginition everytime to unlock the fuel doorjust to fill up.

Tryin to decide between the black locking vs. non-locking. Any advice or input for this decision?

I got the locking one for the reasons given above by solarflare.

CWS:

I think the one you have is the one I've been looking at. It's the Smooth, black billet aluminum locking door. How do you like it, did you install it yourself - was it easy?
